The amazing Big Up Your Blog Group has closed it’s doors for the last time. Like the Norwegian Blue Parrot, it is no more, it’s ceased to be. BUYB has shuffled off this mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleeding choir invisible.

Anyway – Boo! But also Big thanks to Suzie from Suzie Speaks for all her hard work and best of luck in ventures going forward.

This was a good group. Friendships were made, people met in the real world, beer and gin was drunk, and people supported each other. So it’s demise is sorely felt.

All is not lost though – lovely Em Lindthorpe has set up a new group, The Pickled Blog Project – check it out. Many former BUYBers have joined, and the ‘community’ spirit is alive, kicking, and open to new members. As things are getting started, to spread the word, she has started a tag.

Answers

1. I like pickles, though to be fair I liked them more before I tried to make them myself. I am very partial to pickled carrot, and pickled ginger, but my favourites are Japanese Temple Pickles, which are drier than western pickles and absolutely delicious.

3. Heroes.

It maybe seems a bit cliched to say David Attenborough, but he had a huge impact on my life. I remember sitting watching Life on Earth, cross legged on the living room floor during the summer holidays, back when I was a kid.  I loved it, I still remember being gobsmacked at the dinosaur footprints in Arizona where a Mother & child walked over the mud millions of years ago. I was hooked, and remain so. He’s a big part of the reason I did Environmental Science at Uni, and I work as a Recycling Officer.

 

4. Three items

I need space, so I take it, this is a very big jar, maybe a scaled up terrarium? That would at least give me earth to grow things, which is good so I’d take seeds. Assuming unlimited battery  and WiFi then I’d take my laptop, and a decent mattress
